Hi anyone remember me I formed the Wallabies troop then went on to group Scout leader. I remember Barry Hillier and his sons both in my troop Graham and Keith and many others. I am in my eighties now so all you lads are getting on a bit too. Send me e mail if you want to make contact. ( Haisham East Sussex) Walter Ives Green ex Skip.

Glad to see the phoenix has risen from the ashes!
I was a Cub Scout in Mill Pack and then a Scount in the Wallabies troop in the late seventies and early eighties, and my Dad was an Assistant Scout Leader. I vividly remember being 'thrown up' from Cubs to Scouts (I believe this was unique in scouting), wide games in the woods inside Lingfield Racecourse (do these still happen?) and attending camping and cooking competitions.
Things have gone full cirle, as my eldest son is now a Beaver and I am an Occasional Helper.

Sad to see the old hut burn down. However, glad to see that it has been re-built and the group is moving forward. I had many happy years as a cub and scout during the 70 and 80'.
I do have some old photos and cine film if any older members would like to have copies then please get in touch.
The gang shows and summer camps were great fun.

Hi all
have only just stumbled accross this website. Sorry to see the old hut was destroyed. I was a cub and then scout back in the 1970's, 1st Hurst Green Mill Pack, and !st hurst Green Wallabies.

Hope the new hut is up and running soon. I remember the working parties when we built the extension to the old hut and how many weeks we had to meet at Holland School during construction.

All the best
